Osb Oriented

Osb Oriented

OSB oriented is a high-performance engineered panel crafted from precision-cut wood strands bonded with advanced waterproof adhesives and compressed under high temperature and pressure. Its cross-oriented layered structure optimizes mechanical strength and dimensional stability, making it a versatile and cost-effective solution for global construction, furniture and industrial packaging industries. Available in multiple grades and thicknesses from 6mm to 30mm, OSB meets international standards like EN300 and APA PRP-320, ensuring consistent quality for diverse application scenarios.

Craft & Technology

product-1400-800

OSB oriented production features a sophisticated industrial process: first, raw wood is shredded into regular strands (50-80mm in length) and dried to a controlled moisture content. The strands are then coated with resin adhesives (isocyanate or phenol formaldehyde for outdoor grades) and wax for water resistance. Next, a mechanical directional paving system arranges strands into cross-oriented 3-5 layers, with outer layers aligned to the strength axis and inner layers perpendicular. Finally, the mat is hot-pressed at high temperature and pressure for full adhesive curing, followed by cooling, trimming and sanding to form finished panels with no internal gaps or voids.

FAQ

What is the common thickness range of OSB oriented?

It ranges from 6mm to 30mm, with 9mm, 12mm and 18mm being the most popular for general use.

Is OSB suitable for outdoor direct use?

OSB/3 and OSB/4 grades with phenol formaldehyde adhesive are water-resistant and suitable for outdoor humid or wet environments.

Does OSB release formaldehyde?

Our OSB uses low-formaldehyde or formaldehyde-free adhesives, meeting EU E1 and CARB Phase 2 emission standards.

How to process OSB for cutting and nailing?

It can be processed with regular woodworking tools; pre-drilling is recommended for thick panels to avoid edge cracking.

What international standards does your OSB comply with?

It meets European EN300, North American APA PRP-320 and other regional industry standards.

Can OSB be painted or laminated with veneer?

Yes, its surface can be sanded for painting, veneering or laminating to meet decoration needs.
